  1. General
    1. These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
    2. If any term, provision, covenant or condition of this agreement is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect and shall not be affected, impaired or invalidated.
    3. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties in respect of the transaction.
    4. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and constructed in accordance with English Law each party thereto submits to the jurisdiction of the English Courts
  2. Terms for buying registration plates
    1. It is your responsibility to contact the seller via the Make an Offer form and arrange for a method of exchange between the seller and yourself. This will involve you both making arrangements for payment as well as transfer of ownership. We assume no responsibility in regards to purchases or sales made via our website as we only provide a listing service similar to the newspaper classifieds.
    2. All registration marks are sold subject to availability. Whilst we will check the availability of every registration mark before accepting any order, we shall not accept any responsibility if the seller has already sold the registration mark or if the donor of the registration mark has changed his or her mind in respect of selling.
    3. Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, we must notify you that the service we provide begins as soon as the registration mark is reserved on your behalf, subsequently there is no 'cooling off period', the transaction cannot be reversed or amended and no refund can be given. As soon as we receive your order the registration mark will be reserved on your behalf and we will immediately enter into binding agreements (and forward payments) on your behalf with the donor of the registration mark in order to begin the transfer process. Consequently, you will be under contract to settle in full by the due date. If you feel you have made an error and wish to change your mind, you will be liable for the full purchase price and your only remedy will be for you to instruct us to offer your registration mark for sale.
    4. Whilst every attempt is made to ensure the fastest possible transfer, we cannot guarantee any specific time period for the entire transfer. It is illegal to display the new registration mark before the transfer is complete. You must not have the new registration plates made up until the transfer has been approved and you have received a replacement tax disc bearing the new registration mark.
    5. Registration marks must be displayed correctly. To mis-space or mis-represent your letters and numbers in any way is an offence under The Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001. All registration marks advertised or sold by us are made on the understanding that they will be displayed in accordance with these Regulations.
    6. It is the responsibility of the recipient vehicle owner to notify his/her motor insurance company of the change in vehicle registration mark. The recipient vehicle must also be available for Department of Transport inspection if required.
    7. A registration mark cannot be used to make a vehicle appear younger than it is. Before purchasing a registration mark it is your responsibility to ensure that the original date of registration of the recipient vehicle does not pre-date the registration mark being assigned.
